Deborah Farrington is one of the pioneers of investing in software as a service, and her company, StarVest, is one of the largest woman-majority-owned venture capital firms in the United States. StarVest was an early investor in NetSuite, for which Farrington served as lead director and chair of the compensation committee until NetSuite’s $9.4 billion sale to Oracle. In 2018, Farrington received the Medal for Achievement in Financial Services from the Foreign Policy Association. She has endowed a fellowship for women entrepreneurs at Harvard Business School, where she recently co-chaired the New York Women’s Leadership Accelerator.
